I'm trying to get some 3 page comic scripts from writers. I'm really just going to try my hand at anything. I'm putting together a penciling resume, a portfolio if you will.

I think a big part of my problem with making my own comics is that I don't have a sounding board. I would rather work with another writer, together we come up with the story, and I'll help with dialogue (I've got a degree in playwriting) and then I'll let that writer map out the panels.

At least this way, someone else is invested in my sequential art to some extent.

I'm a person with incredibly split interests. I could probably do pretty well with at least one of the talents I have, if I focus. I mean, really focus. I have, in the past, been published and produced, but never in a way that was constructive to my life.

Maybe I need a collaborator. I need a person who is willing to give as much as I do, and really want to come up with something great.

But where is this magical person?

Do they even exist?

I make a promise to myself that I will do something worth doing before the end of the year. Put my talents to use.

I'm 26 and getting older.
